This place is amazing!
$242.00 of my son’s tuition goes toward his membership to this fitness center. We visited this facility during the Friends & Family Weekend, what a place!
I had taken a number of pictures but the link here will lead you to a video worth watching. The boys use this place regular…who wouldn’t!

OMG – wow. Jealous. $242.00 per year per kid – cheap by any measure. The nice part – you know your son will use it.
How does your gym compare?

Not even close!
We are members at our local YMCA. It has two facilities, one I can see from my store the other in downtown Augusta. They are both pretty well equip, Track, free weights, machines, cardio equipment, the basics, Augusta has a sauna, a couple pools, a full sized gym, and a racquetball court.
Nowhere near as high-tech as the UMO Fitness center. I love the suspended track!
Son #1 runs at night when it’s quiet. He is maybe 200 yards from his dorm to the front door.
How about yours? You just joined a freshly built club didn’t you?

No – I stayed with the place I have been going to for the past 3+ years. It has the smallest ratio of cardio equipment to resistance machines and free weights than any other place. The new one – miles of cardio machines.
I like where I am because of the duplication of free weight equipment – multiple stations – more than one squat rack and benches – and multiple floor areas for body weight exercises.
What it does not have – a track, a pool, a raquet ball court or a gym, or a locker room that is sparkling clean with towel service, No problem for me, I have come to understand the equipment I need and will use.
Just wish the locker room was …………………. so far, I haven’t caught anything.
AND – I qualify for Senior rates. ;-(

I’m looking forward to the senior rates! We pay $66 a month for all 6 of us, not bad I figure. Of course 2 are out of town working out in that high fluting fitness center!
Both of our facilities are pretty clean. I rarely use the pool but the kids do. I like the sauna after an especially tough workout. I have walked into the gym twice. Never picked up a racquet ball racquet. Mother uses the cardio equipment regularly.
One thing we lack is open exercise room. You are designated to a corner to work body weights or with a Swiss ball. On a weekend it gets cramped in these spaces.
All in all, I’m happy, I know my way around the place pretty well. It works,…..now if I just would get my arse there more often! Went right after work today, good circuit. 49 Minutes, 129 Avg. 161 Peak.
Be Well, Enjoy the visit with the grandkids.
