Saturday afternoon I was right in the middle of NROL Fat Loss 1, B6 doing my second set of Bulgarian Split Squats, rep #2, then felt the pull in my right leg groin muscle. Not good…..also not smart enough to not finish my set of 6 reps on that leg.
I walked around for a minute, stretched it a little then moved on to the mixed grip lat pulls. Being the idiot I am I weighted down to 20lb DBs and finished my last set of BSS left leg only.
Closed out the circuit using 60lb DBs to do the Romanian Dead lifts.
When I arrived home I put the Icy/Hot to it, wrapped it up and nursed it for a day or so. Then again, I did play golf on Sunday Morning, When I hit the gym on Monday I stuck strictly to an upper body circuit.
Today its good, skipped my Wednesday workout, Golf tomorrow, Give it another day off on Friday, I’ll give it another go on Saturday. Glad it didn’t happen the last week of the Challenge.
I’ve been doing 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, maybe I will weight down for this first go back at the Bulgarians.

As I said – if I ever find the Bulgarian who came up with this exercise – I will but a wooden stake through his heart.
Give yourself time to recover, less than two weeks before we start the next Challenge.
You were right, the Single Leg Barbell Straight Leg Dead Lifts are not fun. Did them with the bar only. I seem to have zero balance.
Enjoy

Hit the Gym mid afternoon yesterday, I wanted to go when it would be busy.
The leg has been feeling ok, not completely unnoticeable but not uncomfortable.
After warm up I started out with a set of standard body weight squats, moved on and did 3 sets of DB Squat Curl Presses, 25/12, 30/12, 35/12, still no pain. did 3 sets of Dead lifts then moved on to the squat rack. 3 sets there also,
Played 9 holes of golf last night, carried the bag, I’m good.

You’ve gotta hate that pulling feeling. It’s good to hear that it doesn’t sound that bad. Hopefully you’ll be back to it in no time.

Hey Yabby,
If what I did yesterday didn’t bother it,
I think It will be good. I will have it wrapped for my workouts from here on out. Anyone know if they make supports for your thighs like they do a knee or ankle?
How you doing? Still hitting it hard?
