In yesterdays 52DC post I reported the results of the diet side of things. This post is in compliment to what I would attribute to the exercise side.
A few may already know, for those who do not, In July of 2008 I had a little cosmetic surgery done to my heart. My aortic valve was replaced along with most of the ascending aorta…old story.
I am a Guinea Pig. I’m involved in a FDA study pertaining to the particular valve that was installed, an On-X made in Austin TX. Hence the reason I track my vitals so closely and why I undergo so much testing. I have set out to be the poster child for the valve company. No calls yet though!
Here is a quick passage from a letter I received from my cardiologist in reference to an Echo performed on 4/28/10;
Your heart function and valve seem to be working quite well. In fact, prior echo (Oct 2009) had suggested your ascending aorta had been dilated but in fact this was not reported on the most recent echo. Certainly, it is reassuring that things look quite stable. Dr. David Frost, MD.
First, pulling a 128 Cholesterol reading, then getting home and opening this letter! I’m good with this! Now…If I can keep from getting hit by a bus!….

You guys keep educating me and setting the perfect example.
“Now, Do you think you can help with my “billed hours” to “hours paid” ratio at the store?!
Life is a balance!
I apreciate all the assistance.

You might be on the short end of the equation! Payroll can a bitch around here some weeks-months!
Even some veteran folk on my staff lose sight occasionally of the billed hours to “I know I can Make It Better if I spend Three More Hours On It!” (even if it’s free) concept. When a few do all in the same week, it can add up to a pile of money!
Of course if I question as to why should I pay them for that “pride” time if I can’t bill it, I am ill using them!
Whine! Whine! Whine!….Round & round brother!
Karma sees to it that everything stays on the level!
