Man…. I had to drag myself to the gym on my way home from work this afternoon, I did not feel like working out at all. Being I am so far behind on my 40-4-40 I guilted myself into it. Came down to one of those Left brain – Right brain arguments inside the head! The Left brain won out! Good for the body…

As it goes, it turned out to be one of my best decisions of the week, blazer of a workout! Warm up, stretches, 40 Jumping Jacks, 25 Std Pushups, 10-10lb arm extensions, 10-20lb Goblet Squats. Walk a couple laps, then 190 reps of Squat Curl Presses. Starting with 20lbs DBs, to 25’s, 30’s, 35’s, then back down,  10 reps each, 80 reps per set. I performed 2  sets plus 30 reps, couldn’t get the 35’s in with good form, I was done.  10 minutes of cool down hot shower and home.

I like this circuit. When I am done I’ve got a good sweat going and stuff is feeing pretty stressed.

Should be a good sleep tonight.

  1. I think you get the best workouts when you have to “guilt” yourself into it! Those are the times you have to really focus and end up having a great workout like you did! Great job…that is very motivating…I’m thinking of heading up and getting a lifting workout in now after reading your blog…thank you!
